Last night via the public forum show 'Markus Lanz' (ZDF, after 10 PM).....the topic was the Generation Z folks (born from 1997 to 2012). They brought on a mental health guy and he basically 'tore-up' those members of Gen-Z.
The legend stuff? You can attach four significant issues to Gen-Z folks: short-attention spell, attached heavily to technology/mass media, can't handle face-to-face confrontations, and they want rewards/accomplishments to be done rather quickly (to the point that they don't calculate with failures).
It was a brief talk, and I would imagine a limited audience at home (that time of night) to view the discussion.
Politically-speaking...it's hard for the four big parties (SPD, Greens, CDU-CSU, and FDP) to connect with Gen-Z because they would have to accomplish things that they promise.
For the public news media? They have to design a news story in bite-size chunks...whatever is talked about....has a one-to-three day attention spell, for this crowd.
