Four German News Stories

 1.  Focus piece this AM.....concerning German electrical requirements.  After they shut down the final three nuke energy plants....there was a period of limited power.

By the numbers so far for 2023, the Germans 'imported' 7.1-billion kilowatt hours of power, than they exported. The neat thing about this?  They are buying power at a higher price, and it's likely some or all of it.....is nuke power produced beyond the German border.

2.  Aiwanger scandal in Bavaria goes to the next level.  Aiwanger now says he want to have a face-to-face meeting with the President of the Central Council of Jews.  I doubt if this meeting would occur, but it pushes the situation to the next level.

3.  Ukraine is running out of military manpower.  There's some process underway where they intend to ask European countries if any Ukrainian young men (particular ages) residing there and their status.  I doubt if Germany will respond.

4.  Lot of hype coming up to suggest a 32-hour work-week in Germany.
