1. War news. I noticed two Russia-related items. First, whatever assets that the Russians had in the Kuril Islands (those group north of Japan, and disputed ownership)....have been removed. Most folks believe the aged equipment (probably from the 1980s) has been put on trains and bound for the war in the Ukraine).
I should note it's pretty agreeable among the people counting....4,000-plus tanks have been lost. This 5,500 number gets dragged out but regarded as BS.
Second story....these two Cuban guys (we will call them Jorge and Sanchez)....were offered a work-contract, if they'd fly over to Moscow. Well....the two guys (around age 19/20)...arrived...signed something, then got on a bus to be taken to some short boot-camp and issued uniforms.
Jorge and Sanchez are in a panic...on social media....begging for help now. I'd say at the pace of things, by mid-September, they will be in the Ukraine.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Russians now actively recruit even Africans....offering up some initial bonus, then membership in the Russian Army.
2. If you watch the nightly ARD news at 8:00 PM....the 'presenter' is basically a person hired to read the news. If you count up....there probably five of these folks, and two guest-presenters each year.
3. Is this Bavarian state election mostly about Nazi-stuff now?
Well....the head guy of the FW-Party was set to partner-up with the CSU for a coalition. This guy, at age 17, wrote a term paper that was anti-Semitic (maybe it was serious...maybe it was a joke).
The paper got dragged out (roughly 35 years later) to be a problem.
Discouraging voters? NO.....if you view Twitter...it just appears to be no one much who was a FW-voter, who is walking away. In fact, it really sends out a message that they are bitter about the news media angle, with the SPD/Green Party trying to benefit from this.
4. I noticed in German technology news.....company has developed a solar technology that can be applied to cars (hood, top, sides). How long before it arrives as an option? Probably three years minimum.
5. Three-minute piece on ARD news last night....introducing new Russian history books for 10th/11th grades. Five-star propaganda status attached to them.
