Local police (Wiesbaden) are basically giving the lecture....because of the farmer protest tomorrow.....it'd be wise to avoid the city....from 9 AM (10 AM is the official start of the blockage) until 2 PM (really 3 PM when things are clear).
Main places I'd avoid? Mainzer Strasser or the eastern entry point of the city.
Just in numbers, they are figuring 800-plus tractors/trucks.
Temperature? Well....that's another thing, it's likely to near 1 C (34 F).
More to come? It wouldn't shock me if a dozen blockages in the region occur by the end of January....even on autobahns.
All of this....due to diesel prices an reduced subsides? Yeah.
But you could also say that the time of year...with no real crop action going on...if you were to do blockages, it makes sense to do it now.
So, unless you were biking into the city....it'd be best to avoid at all cost.
