Some Germans walk around with a fantasy government coalition, where the SPD Party would somehow get 35-percent of the vote, with the Linke Party and Green Party getting a mixture of 15-plus-percent of the vote, and thus this left-form of government would arrive.
This was openly discussed in 2017....with some hope that the SPD would win, and the 'dream' coalition could be finally formed.
Presently? The SPD will be lucky if they clear 15-percent. Presently, the Greens are moving along with 20-to-24 percent, and the Linke Party folks are marginally 8-to-9 percent.
So this chatter that you continually hear....the Red-Red-Green ticket? That's mostly a fantasy.
