After yesterday's 'lateral-thinkers' demonstration in Stuttgart....a journalist-association has stood up and complained to the police about actions conducted against them by the protest crowd.
SWR reports part of the story.
Their chief frustration is that police weren't doing enough to 'protect' them (the journalists).
The suggestion by the Foreign Minister that protesters threatening or insulting reporters should be prosecuted? It probably doesn't help matters.
Police did report that they arrested a guy for beating up on a reporter. They also talked about three of the police who were injured when trying to prevent protesters and anti-protesters from meeting up.
At the end of the whole day....the police said that around 250-odd people were cited for breaking the Covid-ban-rules during the day.
From my prospective, if the journalists cut 75-percent of their reporting....the pumped-up business would decrease significantly. I'd just shoot 10 minutes of video, and do just a 20-second report to say it wasn't much to report on. Public attention would be lessened and the 'impact' would be marginal.
Course, if the reporters feel the anti-Covid-rules crowd are 'correct'....then continue on with maximum coverage.
