Germany and Covid-19: 5 April 2021

 1.  Public TV (ARD) says that around 35k of the 50k public doctors/clinics in Germany....will be getting delivery of vaccines shortly.  Course, they also said that in the first couple of weeks....the limited number of doctors getting any....would only get 20 doses.  So it's hard to figure the general affect on society.  Maybe once you start delivering 150 doses a week...things change.

2.  Every German who wants to be vaccinated, done by 21 September?   Merkel promise on this now existing?

Well...that chatter from January that mid-summer was the big goal?  That appears to be going fast, and early fall is now suggested.

Add to it....no one really knows the number of people who will agree to be vaccinated.  It might be 60-percent.....it might be 85-percent.

3.  4,051 Germans in ICU beds now (as of Sunday)?  Yes, highest number since early Feb, and some doctors are saying the peak is perhaps two months away.  Some chatter suggests that a ICU bed shortage will be apparent at the end of April.
