On ARD (public TV, Channel One).....at 8:30 PM, they ran the 'Hart Aber Fair' public debate show (live). Topic? The war.
If you asked me how the debate (five guests, one moderator) went? I'd say it hit on two subjects....Putin's speech yesterday and how the war might end.
One guest did hype the nature of the speech....that Putin didn't suggest nothing about defeat, but leaned heavily on running Ukraine in the end.
One segment of the talk dove off about the nuclear missiles, and I suspect that chatter probably scared a few Germans watching.
From the minute you get up and turn on your laptop, TV or radio.....the war business is in your face here in Germany. It is topic number one, with the economy next. Covid has fallen to some place between ten and twenty on the priority list.
