1. The terror story. At some point yesterday, I questioned the one key part of the story....how did this Saudi guy in 2007....get into trouble, and have to exit in a hurry (to Germany).
If you go and look at Saudi social media....they tell the story. This guy got into rape charges. Getting the Germans to accept him....was the only way to avoid Saudi jail. I looked up the extent of 'Saudi-trouble'....flogging and jail was the least of your worry....if it was full-up rape....execution is possible.
Upon arriving in Germany....he needed to really convince the Germans of his 'other side of life'....that he was anti-Islam. To achieve this....he resorted to 'Taqlyya'. It is a Islamic method of openly lying/deceiving the non-Muslims....to achieve a goal.
So he took up helping Muslims in Saudi Arabia 'escape'. He did interviews (both DW and BBC chatted with him). He endorsed the AfD Party's position of anti-migrant and anti-Muslim. He in effect....became the 'good anti-Muslim'.
All the while....the Saudis wanted the Germans to detain and let him face consequences in Saudi Arabia. This involved both the Merkel and Scholz governments. Course, each time that the rape charge came up and the flogging/execution got mentioned....they (the German authorities) felt it was not right.
The Saudis (apparently) got to mentoring him and in the past year....they noted his radical nature was appearing more often in social media (he was getting to a point where he was anti-German).
I would imagine this 'act' was stressing the heck out of him but he also figured that one day....a different gov't would come to run Germany, and detain him for Saudi Arabia....so the flogging/execution threat was lingering there.
The story now makes sense.
But the question that arises....once Germans grasp all of this....just how angry will public sentiment become? Here was a rapist living among them....openly lying/deceiving them...then murdering five Germans (wounding near 200.....last count from yesterday)....protected by German law and the government.
Then the other question comes up....how many other unusual characters exist in Germany, under the same conditions? A dozen? A hundred?
2. WELT: Poll action today....if you talked to Germans on strictly Chancellor.....Weidel (of the AfD Party) is now at the same level (of public sentiment) as Merz (CDU-CSU).
It doesn't mean much....you have to win by the party numbers.
3. The Bundesbank chief made some harsh/critical comments yesterday against the Bitcoin.
4. Lilly Becker (Boris's ex-wife).....will be a candidate on the Jungle-Camp show...starting in two weeks. I will note....it took a ton of money to convince her to accept the challenge.
5. One odd aspect over the Saudi terrorist from Magdeberg....there's at least five German states who had unrelated charges over the guy over the past decade. At one point....he called the fire department emergency number....for what was NOT an emergency. Yeah, that can actually get you into legal trouble.
6. German Bahn (railway company) says that those folks who make immediate purchase/use of tickets.....should pay 'more' (they avoid saying how much).
I've generally been a same-day buyer/user of railway tickets, but I usually don't travel more than 100 km away from my house. If you said it was a five-percent fee attached for same day use....most people would accept it.
