One has to be surprised over the turbo-blast news involving the Bundestag 'hack'. Tonight, a majority of the ARD (public TV, Channel One) coverage....involves the hack.
So Focus (the Magazine) says two surprising things.
First, the moment when the police were alerted? Well....SPD's Martin Schulz got this call on a personal cellphone which a very small number of people are aware of. Total stranger. He passed the info to the cops, and at that point, they came to realize the hack.
Second, BILD says that the German security services are so overwhelmed by the mess....they actually called the US NSA folks and asked for help. If true, and I would question this story.....that means that the security folks will have to show the workings of the Bundestag server, and allow the NSA folks to ask questions. The NSA guys will take this apart, and in a short period of time....show how the guy got in, and what is necessary to prevent this from occurring again.
The German news folks? I'm guessing they will get real peppy about asking why the NSA has to help them.
For the next seven days? Well....yeah, this is story number one. Forget that evil Trump stuff.....the hack moved up to number one.
