The Bottrop Incident

With numerous news organizations telling the story....I'll attempt to piece it together in a simple fashion.

A German guy (not a migrant, immigrant, or asylum guy) drove his vehicle into crowds in the Bottrop area (in the far NW of Germany), and injured around eight individuals (all were immigrants or migrants).  This occurred over the weekend.

The 50-year old guy?  The authorities and public news media say that he has had connections to right-wing radicals (hint: AfD), and is 'Xenophobic' in nature.

So far, no one is reported dead, just injured.

Charges?  Attempted murder is openly discussed, and the political folks are all pumping on this discussion.

But, there is this one little problem.  At least two sources of news media are saying that this guy has been under psychological treatment in his life, and he's been under treatment for 'something' (declining to say what).  If this treatment revolves around delusional issues?  Well....it's pretty much a zero chance that these attempted murder charges can stick, and some judge will just sign off on the guy being permanently put into a closed-facility.

I avoid 'reporting' and have zero interest in reporting. But I will essay over a topic which I think is marginally discussed, and the news intent is a poorly written factual statement. People want simplicity and just pure facts...they are smart enough to fill in the blanks themselves. Thanks for the comment though.

I think psychological was the word you're after. Not physiological. But often they go hand in hand.
