For those who remember the old American-run military hotel in Wiesbaden....the American Arms....this past week, they announced the demolition of the hotel to occur (very shortly). I think it's been almost 15 years since it was last operational for the Army.
What'll happen next is a renaming of the area, to the Kaiserhof Quarter, and a 110-unit 'affordable' apartment project will go up, along with another project which appears to be on the higher side.
Current schedule as spoken....the entire American Arms will be gone by September.

Used to live right up the street from there at Frankfurter 21A and my wife at the time worked at AA for DODDS. Stayed there for a few nights in those final days when we sadly had to leave Wiesbaden.
