Merkel: Third Time Shakes?

The German news media covered the event from yesterday....another outdoor episode with military music in the background, and about 10 seconds into it....she goes into serious shaking.  If you look at her face during the event....she's in distress and trying hard to hide the shakes.

Afterwards at the press conference?  She grins and just says health concerns are private business.  End of the discussion.

Here's the key thing....in about a week or so....most all politicians in Germany go on 'holiday' (vacation) and she can disappear for five weeks.  A month after they come back, the first of the three state elections occur (all in Eastern Germany), and a month later....it's all done.  My bet is that within a week of the 3rd and last election....she announces her retirement, and leaves within a month after that.

The health issue?  I think she's going to keep it a secret....even upon retirement.  If you look at pictures of Chancellor Merkel from 2015 and now (four years later)....she's aged a good bit and put on at least 15 pounds.  I think that between the 60 man-hours a week in the job, the traveling required, and her age (64 years old)....she's no longer at her peak on general health.  She's stressed, and probably needs a full eight hours of sleep per day, which she isn't getting.
