There was an interesting economics story in the German news this morning....via N-TV (commercial German news network).
The discussion? There's two odd stories being told over the German car manufacturing sector.
First, in terms of German registrations of new cars.....it's a fabulous year (best in a decade) and no one can say a bad word.
Second, in terms of German cars sold overseas (beyond the border), it's the worst year since 1997.
Right now.....VW appears at the top of the positive numbers 'chart'.
Something that may worry politicians? It's again the sign of an economy that is borderline in recession. If this were to be just one single 12-month period.....it wouldn't be a big deal. If it goes beyond that....into two years? It'll probably trigger some harsh consequences.
