Well.....it's still there.
Locally (Wiesbaden)....last night, they reported 505 new cases of Covid for the past 24 hours. The seven-day rate of infection? 1,374, which is hefty.
If you go back to day one and count up total cases out of 283,000 residents? Well....it comes to around 62,303 total. Course....a fair number of the group had it for a second time, and I would take a guess that even 5-percent are working on episode number three.
They still report deaths....probably averaging around three per week on average.....371 since day one. Yes, it does surge up in the winter months, and dwindle down to almost nothing in the summer months.
The one key thing which has come around in the past six months....lesser numbers of people being entered into hospital care.
Reported nightly via public news? Yes, there's still two slides which will pop up and about 20 seconds of time devoted to the topic. Maybe once a week now....the Health Minister gets a full-up interview on the topic....but most Germans rate the topic nowhere in their top three issues. Inflation and the war both easily out-rank Covid.
