Putin's Other Woes

If you sit and ponder upon this....Putin has some other issues brewing:

1.  Full-time and continuous control of the news to the Russian people.  We aren't talking about just the next six months...but for the long-haul (probably for the next decade).

2.  An economy that is dead in the water.   He can market oil, natural gas, and minerals.....beyond that...there's just not anything to entice people.

3.  The oligarch crowd in the middle of this deepening chaos.  There's little doubt that most of them have lost half their fortune (football clubs, yachts, cash frozen overseas, properties seized, etc).  Some of them in their forties....will never see a 'return' to previous status.

4.  The return of the military operation solders?  They will be cautioned to never talk about what happened, and with the pressure put upon them....most will turn to alcohol and spend the rest of their lives questioning the 'war'.

5.  No memorials for the dead solders at the end (maybe it doesn't even come in 2022).....you just can't admit 10,000-plus died in the operation.

6.  Nationalizing western companies in Russia, with zero support from the west.

7.  The only trading partners that value you.....China and Belarus.

8.  Weekly reports of Russians leaving the country.  These won't be grocery clerks or farmers....they will be the educated and 'cream' of the technology sector.

9.  Being continually reminded that a Ukrainian comedian-turned-President....warped your brilliant 72-hour invasion plan.

10.  Having Ukrainian Russian separatists on your doorstep....asking to rebuild the region that you destroyed.  Then having the same separatists ask for economic aid because no one will trade with them except Russia.

11.  Having Kremlin insiders question your judgement and sanity.

12.  Not having the economic power to rebuild the Russian Army that was devastated in the Ukraine.  We aren't talking about a couple of years....but perhaps even twenty years.
