French Discussion on the Environment

N-TV brought up this hype in the AM today.  The French government has several ideas they are throwing around.  All are in draft form, and it's probably less than 10-percent on whether they will be accepted.

1. Pushing grocery stores to have as many items as possible 'unpacked'.  No one says how or if it makes sense....just that packing is a environmental problem.

2.  Mandating no air travel between locations, if a train can get you there in 2.5 hours.  I sat and thought about this one.....for example getting from Paris to Lyon (2-hours)....to be honest presently....there's only three flights going on.  Maybe back before Covid-19, there might have a dozen flights a day.

Paris to Amsterdam?  It's around a 75-minute flight but on a train, that's going to be around 3.5 hours.  So those flights might continue on.

3.  Reducing the speed limit from 130 on the speedways....to 110 kph.
