Pace of Vaccination Improves

If you follow ARD (public TV, Channel One).....they have said this morning that the government's 'pace' will pick up on vaccinations toward the end of March, when this massive delivery of 13.6 million doses get delivered.

They added....from some point in May on, they expect roughly 3-million doses weekly.

If this were to occur?  You can do the Excel spreadsheet and generally figure that around half the nation (83-million in population) ought to be fully vaccinated (both shots) by July....unless some screw-up occurs with the production cycle.

Getting to the 65-million point?  Maybe there's another pick-up on pace and another million or two doses per week are pumped into the system by mid-to-late summer. The Russian vaccine ought to be approved by April, and one might expect them to play a big role in the summer vaccinations.

The real need for this pace?  I would suggest that they want just about everybody done by October, and then they can try to ease the potential of another fall/winter shutdown period.
