Germany and Covid-19: 9 Feb 2021

 1.  Today (the 9th) will be the first day that all 28 regional vaccination centers in Hessen (my state) will be 100-percent in operation.  Full capacity?  No....they admit of a shortage and so the shot reservation business is still at limited numbers.

2.  Some accusations today in Hessen (my state) that two vaccination center 'managers' apparently got their vaccinations ahead of priority listings.  About every day for the past week, I've noted an episode like this and while it makes for a 'headline'.....you just don't see that many upset by it.

3.  Crapped-up export report via N-TV....for 2020.  You can blame things on the border controls set-up, logistical plans that go up and down, and manpower situations.

The real number that matters?  Exports are down by 9.3-percent over 2019.

4.  Lot of hype building for the Chancellor meeting tomorrow (Wed) with the sixteen state Premier-Presidents.  Pressure in some states is building to cut loose on a number of ban rules.  Bavaria, presently, appears to be the only one wanting all ban rules to stay in place.

The suggestion that all ban rules would stay around till Easter?  It's more of a fantasy now, than reality.

5.  These fourteen senior citizens in a Osnabruck retirement home who'd had both vaccination shots....now down with Covid-19?  Lot of medical speculation going on.

Just my humble view, the experts will find that the vaccination probably keeps you from getting the full-blown Covid, and you end up with a more milder case.  If this is true.....it'll flip the views of the public because you'd still exist in a difficult world when people thought they'd be Covid-free with the vaccination.  I should point out.....none of the fourteen have been reported near-death, so they might be undergoing just a mild case of Covid.
