If you went and crossed off Covid-19 topic, the blizzard business, and the prep-up for the March state elections in Baden-Wurttemberg and the Pfalz....well, yeah....it's a pretty empty newscast.
Face it, the US barely gets mentioned now that Biden is President.
BREXIT? Done, and finished.
Scandals? We haven't had a decent German scandal in at least two years.
Wirecard? It ought to be a top ten story, but a fair number of political folks are tangled up into this....so you don't hear much.
Violent crime and hired-killings? German police have commented on this (as well as Interpol), but it's rarely front-page news. ARD did a short piece today talking about the profits of the criminal gangs/clans.....in Europe, adding up to 100 billion Euro a year. The gangs? The police readily admit that Vietnamese, Mexican and Columbian groups are now operating in Europe.
Russia? There's usually some update nightly on ARD/ZDF, but it's mostly video of demonstrations.
A slow period? More or less.
