Voting Topics in the Pfalz?

The state election for Rhineland-Pflaz is about a month away.  The Wahl-O-Mat is up and gives you the top thirty-odd issues to base your vote upon.  The topics?

- The state should promote primarily bio or organic products.

- The state should give school kids Tabs free of charge.

- The state will 'pick' more areas for installation of wind-generators (meaning villages might not be able to prevent 'erection'.

- The state should use contact details to monitor infection levels and go to serious prosecution levels.

- The St Goarhausen bridge should continue to be built (it would be the only bridge crossing the Rhine between Koblenz and Wiesbaden).  I should note, a fair number of locals are against the bridge.

- The state should tax companies that use robots instead of humans for production. (yes, you can laugh but it's actually being discussed)

- The state should work to reduce the state voting age to 16.

- The state should abolish the rental brake.

- Special schools for disabled kids should continue.

- The state should work to convert more streets to bike-friendly 'zones'.

- The state should not 'control' private property gravel gardens (meaning no grass, just rocks and gravel).  Some Germans don't like gravel gardens, period.

- The state would take over communities who've got themselves into serious debt.  (no one is explaining the cost level of this, and some towns are in serious trouble at this point)

- Religious instruction would go away, and ethics training would be the replacement...in the state.

- Wolves should be allowed to be hunted in the Pfalz. (no one is saying without a permit, just that wolves ought to be more controlled or eliminated)

- The state should pay a subsidy for care-givers. (generally, if you had a parent in the house and had to care for them, this would be some allowance paid for your service)

- The universities of the Pfalz should work closer with business operations.

- The street renovation cost should continue to be a burden to property owners. (if the city says your street will be renovated and measures the property...to say your input is 25k Euro....it likely will be a shock to you).  I should note back when paving work was cheap in the 1980s, you were shocked to find the bill around 5k DM (roughly $2,500).  A lot of senior citizens can't afford these 25k Euro bills.

- The Pfalz should take in more refugees.  (they avoid saying how many)

- The Pfalz should create a high-school diploma that would be similar in nature to what you see in the US.

- Cities in the Pfalz would have the right to limit the number of cows on your property, if the acreage is within the city limits. (don't bring this up with farmers, they don't want you in their business)

- A right to work from home should be a state goal.

- The German Army should still be allowed to visit schools and recruit.

- Rail projects should have priority over road projects in Pfalz.

- Welfare folks must attend appointments at the local job-center, and if they miss a certain number....they should lose some of their benefits/pay.

- The Pfalz Constitutional Protection authority should end. (meaning they wouldn't be watching potential threat groups in the state)

- Teachers in the Pfalz would all get the same starting salary.

-  The state should take up more border controls (meaning crossing guards).

-  Parents should still contribute to kindergarten fees after the kid is 2 years old.

- The Pfalz should make the minimum wage 12 Euro per hour.

- In terms of virus affairs, the federal government should take more power away from the Pfalz.

- There should be a female quota in business operations owned by the state.

- Debt-brake should continue, as is.

- Free lunch at all schools for students.

- The ban on dancing on 'silent-holidays' should continue on. (this goes back....way back, and kids mostly laugh over the state ban)

- Mayors should get a bigger allowance.

- Sunday shopping occurs only 3 times a year, on average.  The state would like to increase it (they aren't saying 20 times a year though).

- The Pfalz should take actions to ensure the Americans don't have any nuke weapons on Pfalz soil.

I looked over the topics, and will admit....I haven't really thought much about the free lunch business, the dancing ban, or more Sunday shopping.  To be blunt, I might do this Sunday shopping thing once a year (just too many people out and it turns into massive chaos).

On the community debt issue?  A lot of city councils are basically hiding their debt and literally begging the state to step in because they are out-of-control.

I should add on the immigrant discussion....no one has really done a real national study to say how jobs, capability to take in, and time-required to produce a working-migrant all fits into some number per state or the nation.
