For months, I've been waiting for someone to do statistical data on curfews, so today...Focus had a chat over this control idea of Covid-19.
So the facts....there's not much of a gain if you do a 9 PM to 5 AM curfew. If you add up traffic movement in this period....fewer than 8-percent of the public fits the profile. Most folks just aren't out and about in this time period.
If you ran the curfew from 8 PM to 5 AM? That affects only 12-percent of the public.
If you wanted some kind of serious affect....you'd have to start talking about a 6 PM to 5 AM curfew, and I just don't see people getting thrilled or hyped-up with that scheme. Or how about a all-day Saturday/Sunday curfew?
