Covid-German Words?

I'm always amazed by the German language, and the path to usage.  So N-TV had this piece today....over Covid-19 words.

There's this group of word-scientists at the Leibniz Institute for the German Language in Mannheim, and they control the book over German word creations.

Since day one....1,351 German words concerning Covid-19 have been 'created'.  If you look since 1 January....it's around 280 words created.

The odds of another thousand to be created over the remainder of 2021?  It's pretty good odds.
