Russian Vaccine in the News

I essayed a few days ago about Bavaria arranging a purchase of the Sputnik vaccine (2.5 million doses).  Well....today (via N-TV), there's chatter going on that the German federal government might have a deal in the works for the Russian vaccine as well.

Waiting for the EU to 'bless' the vaccine?  That's a curious matter....the Health Minister indicates that once EMA (the German group who would grant usage), the deliveries would start up (meaning EU permission wasn't required).

Amount in this federal purchase?  Unknown, they avoid that discussion.

What ever happened to German technical superiority? Why would real Germans be willing to accept a "vaccination" from a bunch of Vodka drunk Bolsheviks. I wouldn't accept anything from the russians. Putin has become quite the spin master.

BioNTech, from Mainz, was producing and releasing in late December. Their issue is limited quantity produced so far. From the five or six available right in Europe, same story.

The Russian vaccine? It was registered in August and production started in September. Russians have around 8 million vaccinated, and going into higher production. Without the sputnik vaccine, I have doubts that the Germans meet this summer goal of herd immunity.
