This weekend, my satellite receiver did an update, and a new channel popped up....TRT-English. TRT is the Turkish national network....sponsored by the Turkish government. So it's a 24-hour around the clock news network, with a Turkish-slant, in English. Naturally, it's aimed at Europe to give them a flavor of the Turkish opinion.
I sat and watched bits and pieces over the weekend. It's mostly international news (probably over 70-percent), and everything within Turkey told with a positive stance. Bias? Well....you could reach that interpretation.
The odds of this TRT-English network catching on within Germany? Less than 5-percent chance that I'd give it.
