Frankfurt Story

If you were around Frankfurt the last year or two....you would have noted how the International Auto Show quit the city.  It was a remarkable car exhibit that brought millions of Euro to the city every two year.

The Messe (the exhibition halls)?  They were built to a large extent to cover this event, and it's questionable if any show will ever make up for this loss.

Well....last night, Frankfurt announced they were going for a different kind of event to make up for the loss....a fashion show week.

It'll start the 5th of July and run to the 9th....starting in 2021.

Covid-effect?  The suggestion is...things will be 'cleaned-up' by that point.

Frankfurt as a fashion capital?  Most folks would turn their head and ask how this is possible.  There are some fashion developers around the Hessen region, and were always kinda overlooked.

I admit....when you think of Frankfurt....fashion is usually topic number 999 out of a thousand discussion items.

As for a remarkable number of people showing up and making up for the loss of the Auto Show?  Well....don't get excited.  Maybe in ten years...this scheme might start to pay off.  Right now....any kind of show for the Messe area would be acceptable.
