All sixteen German states are either discussing hard lockdowns (the extreme fix for Covid-19), or already enforcing it.
I noticed in Baden-Wurttemberg (the German state to the SW)....that they threw up a couple new ban rules to start today (12 December):
1. You can't leave the house/apartment unless you have 'good reason'. On the list? Work, school, grocery shopping, doctor/vet visit, court requirement, demonstration, dog-walks, sport, Christmas shopping, etc.
Just hanging around in the park with your 'buds'? It won't work unless you and the 'buds' claim it's a demonstration. A social life for a 20-year old? Forget about that.
2. No booze sale or consumption in any public place (for next four weeks). They kinda waivered grocery stores and beverage shops. It seems they meant for street vendors or stalls.
If you had a six-pack and simply sitting on a bench by the river? You might be able to get away with it. In some shopping district area? Zero chance.
3. They left the general store shopping open, but it's heavily hinted that shortly after Christmas....those will shut-down and only grocery/pharmacy operations will stay open.
The idea that some national ban-rule deal will occur? NO. The states are refusing to let the Berlin crowd run this.
By Sunday night, everyone will likely get a fresh new ban list, and a harsh period will start up in a week or so....with a full month of absolute ban-rules coming.
