Fleischhauer's Point?

There's a piece written in the German news publication Focus today....by Jan Fleischhauer....which goes over the suggested scenario that the Green Party Chancellor candidate....Annalena Baerbock's new book "Jetzt" and Fleischauer asks an interesting question.  Did Baerbock actually write the book or did some ghost-writer write it?

So here's the mess to ponder upon.

Lets say that Baerbock paid some guy/gal 30,000 Euro to write the book....that Baerbock simply suggests a dozen topics, and needs the book to pump up her campaign effort.  Can she now come forward and admit it's not really her 'work'?

Does that make it a bigger mess than just plagiarism?  The simple answer is yes.  If she admits that she can't write or present a 240-page book....it really craps all over her candidacy.

The fact that this is the only book written by her?  Well....that does stand out.

The odds on this being a ghost-writer situation?  I'd give it better than a fifty-percent chance.  Course, the amazing thing here....the book company didn't hire a plagiarism-hunter to go over the draft?  It's like they wanted to help her fail.

So, is Fleischhauer right?  He might have a pretty solid point, but at this point in the scandal....Baerbock can't admit she screwed up big-time.
