Starting in 2028....Opel (the car-maker) will ONLY sell electric cars. Announcement came yesterday.
A big deal? It will really depend on how things go in 2028, and if sales pick up, or slack-off.
I tend to believe that a fair number (20-percent more than the normal yearly number) of gas/diesel cars will be ordered in 2026, 2027, and 2028 (from the various car-makers), and people actually buy these cars with the intent to put them into a garage for two to four years....waiting for 2030 to arrive. Then the dealers and manufacturing crowd will stand there....amazed that this huge 'herd' they anticipated to buy E-cars.....simply don't show up.
