About a month ago, I essayed a piece or two over the farming problem, with guest-workers in Germany not of a sufficient quantity, and emergency work was done by the government to allow in non-Germans in (due to entry restrictions) to do the lifting 'work' of farming.
Well....N-TV brought up this related topic today....Corona and the guest-workers.
About 10 minutes driving NE of Augsburg (Bavaria)....it's mostly all a farming region. Here lies the town of Aichach.
Apparently.....the Coronavirus has arrived in the community. After testing around 525 folks related to the guest-worker program....what the local health department now says is that 95 of the guest-workers are positive for Corona, and in a local quarantine situation.
How it got there or passed around? Unknown.
It probably will unsettle the Bavarian politicians to some degree, but they require this non-German assistance to handle the massive amount of work required.
