Wolf Story

Down on the SE end of Wiesbaden (my town)....there's this heavily tracked area called the Ostbahnhof.  In the old days (1900 to 1960s).....if you worked in Wiesbaden, it was pretty good odds that you traveled over to the Ostbahnhof, and worked at one of a dozen-odd factories in the local area.  Over the past fifty years, at best, you might have one out of twenty folks who work in Wiesbaden's Ostbahnhof area.

Trains still stop there but it's fewer and fewer people who get off there.

Well....about four weeks ago, some maintenance guy came out and noted a dead dog on the tracks....assuming that it got whacked by some train coming through.  He removed the animal and took it to the Wiesbaden pound, where they were supposed to dispose of it.

The pound guy looked at the creature, and finally called the county folks up.....and they took samples.

Well, it's not a dog.  It's a wolf....female wolf.

Here in the midst of urbanized Wiesbaden?  A wolf?  Yes.
