A Comedy Movie I'd Recommend

A friend of mine....years ago....loaned me his bootleg copy of an early 1980s Italian comedy to watch, and about every two years....it comes up in my mind for some odd reason.

The movie?  Vieni Avanti Cretino (which loosely translates over to 'Come On, You Idiot'.

First, lets be honest to admit that around 80-percent of what was produced even in America in the early 80s....are mostly forgotten or considered pretty lame.

This Italian movie probably fits into that description...but the script really made it better than you'd imagine.

It's an entire movie of sketches.

What you have in the first five minutes....this Italian guy has just wrapped up a jail sentence, and come back to the neighborhood to find his cousin....who is an employment helper in a employment office.

About every ten minutes....is some pitfall or mistake that occurs, and the former jail-guy finds himself deeper into a mess.

There's an encounter at a dental office, with a nut-case priest, some mafia guys at a garage, attempted employment at some bar, a Catholic 'boss', a party with a bunch of fake aristocrats, temp work at some cybernetics hospital, and some chance rescue/return of a dog to a hot lusty (and chunky) aristocratic gal.

If you were looking at some Three Stooges-type script and four-star comedy....this is one of those movies I'd recommend.  The odds of it ever appearing on regular TV these days?  Near zero.  I should also note there might be a scene or two with boobs in display.
