Covid 'Vacation'?

I noticed off ZDF news (Channel Two, public TV) an interesting report today.

There's something being created by the SPD-Green-FDP government....called "Corona Time-Out for Families".

The deal?  So much stress in your life over the past two years....you deserve a break (vacation).

So, if you are a low-income family or have a member who has a disability....the German government is offering up a fund of 50-million Euro for a free vacation.

Basically, you come up to the government with a trip idea that costs X-amount (they have the list and these are all low-cost places to start with).  They will pay 90-percent, while you pay 10-percent.

Trip has to be within Germany?  Yeah.

Limit of seven days?  Yeah.

Used a lot so far?  What they say, for the last 3 months of 2021.....4,000 situations were covered.  So there's still a ton of money left in the pot.

High cost prices?  NO.  This is for what you'd call a traditional German hostel situation....quiet wooded area with a family room, basic breakfast deal, etc.  All you are doing is saying you were stressed out because of Covid, and you need a little trip to recharge your batteries.
