Natural Gas Chatter

There was a interesting piece on Germany and the natural gas issue (if war starts up) on N-TV this morning.

So what they said....for weeks, the EU has been quietly going around and arranging plans if Russia cuts off the natural gas pipe leading into Germany.

What appears likely?

First, Japan (which gets a fair chunk of LNG delivered via ships), has said it would turn over several deliveries (meaning the LNG ship would deliver to the EU instead of Japan.

Second, Qatar, Egypt and the US would apparently send more LNG ships toward Europe.

Third and final....the EU admits it's hoping for a early spring and higher temperatures.

You can gaze over the list and it looks pretty positive.  But the question is....what happens in eight months, when fall arrives?
