The local Wiesbaden newspaper ran a piece this morning....talking over BREXIT and the anticipated arrival of Brits not only into Frankfurt, but also Wiesbaden. It's a short piece but it talk over the impact to schools, KITA (kindergartens), and housing prices. All hyped now by politicians.
How many? Unknown. Until they reach the final stage of BREXIT and London banks start to make decisions over the future....you just don't know the final number.
The curious thing is that while banks operate in Frankfurt, there just aren't that many from the upper-class bankers who live in Frankfurt. They tend to live in the upper-class suburbs on the northwest end of Frankfurt or in Wiesbaden.
I suspect reality is coming-to-town now, and some political folks are beginning to realize the numbers go past 10,000 Brits possibly moving into the region. If they bring their wives and kids.....you probably will get up around to a total of 20,000 to 25,000 British living in the region. And the political folks might be right....it'll change things in a dramatic way.
