Total Cost for Coal Exit

If you paid attention to the big government/coal industry/energy industry meeting of last week in Germany....it's agreed by 2030, all coal energy plants will terminate/halt.  A lot of environmentalists applauded....the bulk of Germany stood there and asked....what does this mean for me?

Well....it got brought up by industry experts in the last day or two...the total cost of dumping coal-powered plants, when you count in the dismantling, the alternate energy sources procured, the loss of jobs, etc.....it's around 80-billion Euro (100 billion dollars, for you Americans).

Who will pay for the termination of the coal plants?  Well....the consumer.  This 80-billion will have to come out of German pockets....either through higher-cost grid costs, or via taxation.
