Around a month ago in France.....the Minister of Higher Education (Frédérique Vidal) went out and made this comment: " Islamo-leftism plagues society as a whole and the university is not impermeable."
Naturally, this unsettled a fair number of journalists.
So there's this polling group in France which went to ask the public on the question.
I read through the France-Info page, and reviewed the poll.
69-percent (7 out of 10) French people said that they agreed....that there are French promis and French political parties which are now attached to Islamic/leftists agendas, and they generally refuse to say anything against radical Islam.
I should note....they aren't saying that there needs to be far right-wing correction activity, or to promote some right-wing agenda....just that they now recognize the behavior of the political parties and the promis as being attached to something.
Maybe if this had been a 30-percent or 50-percent situation.....you could just read through it and discount the end-result. But since it's up to around 70-percent....it's hard to just toss it as a freak polling result.
For the leftist political parties? I would suggest that it's now a serious negative problem that they can't avoid in public discussions. We are fourteen months away from the next French Presidential election, and this might be one of the top three issues that the public zeroes in upon.
