NO.
I would suggest that while various European countries are ending their restrictions (almost entirely)....newest example: Finland.....I don't think there is a single politician from any of the German political parties (even the CDU)....that is capable or has the courage to say the epidemic is done, and we are treating Covid as a flu-like disease.
Yeah, I'm probably going to be blasted, but it takes an enormous character to stand up and just say the nation is finished with the shutdown-regulated-lifestyle business, and will just treat Covid as a cold-or-flu situation.
Scholz isn't the person....neither is Habeck or Lindner. Merkel certainly wasn't that person. So as you gaze across the forty-odd noted politicians in Germany.....it's hard to suggest any of them have the courage required.
Will Germany be the last EU member to take this position? I'm likely to believe that.
Oh, it might be discussed and maybe even 40-percent of the nation is really hyped-up to dismiss this as an epidemic, and move to the next level. But all this fear-mongering and 'doom-and-gloom' chatter is fairly concreted down. Everybody has some relative or work-associate or neighbor who has officially passed on due to Covid. Just hearing a brief cough in a grocery-line is enough to send others in the line out to regather at another grocery-line.
So while you sit and view European nation after European nation flipping to a lesser threat situation....don't go expecting much to happen in Germany.

Fully agree. There's been a leadership vacuum here for decades.
