Last night, my local town (Wiesbaden) announced the 7-day rate of infection situation....2,021.
If you went back to 1 January 2022....the rate was 271 rate and was freaking out folks left and right.
How many new folks in town were tested positive in the past 24 hours (yesterday)? 1,358 people (out of a population of 283,000).
If you saw numbers from spring 2020 (2 years ago).....schools were shut down....pubs/bar closed.....massive shutdown over what you'd call minor numbers.
Right now? No real massive shutdown...bars generally open (you need to be vaxed, recovered or tested).
As bad as it is right now....if you used 2020 'logic'.....everyone would be freaked out and begging for some Doctor Doom to save them. Instead....it's about two or three steps from really not caring or getting that excited.
