The Case for Sergey and Anatoly

Sergey Beseda is the 'boss' of the FSB (what is the modern-day KGB) and Anatoly Bolyukh is his deputy.  Up until the last day or two....they walked in the shadow of Putin.  Currently?  They are under house-arrest.  There is some suggestion (rumor.....BS-factor of '5') that some crew of 'police' came and did a raid on the FSB.

Naturally, you'd have to ask who in the world would have raid-power, and it would not be the regular police to come to the FSB.....it'd have to be the protective service for Putin himself.

The question here....what happened?

I suspect around the 10th day of the 'war'.....Putin sat there in disbelief because he'd been told how easy this would be.

He finally turned (maybe on advice from someone) and started to imagine who he could blame for failures (certainly not himself).

For these two guys....should they worry?  Oh yeah....because they could be grabbed...taken to some prison, and a bogus court episode to occur where they admit something.  Then they spend the rest of their lives in prison.

But here's the interesting thing.  There's at least two-hundred or more individuals in the FSB  who probably were part of the planning episode.  Every single one of them might be picked up in a week, or month....then given the same 'pain'.

I would imagine each is assessing their future, and see nothing to hold them in Russia.  My humble view is that they will contact a friend, and arrange for some 'pick-up', and disappear off into the night.  Each will head to some border, and hope to find a US, Brit, or French embassy.....to give themselves an asylum chance.

Is it just the FSB guys who should be worried?  No....I'd go and suggest that more than a hundred military officials are in the worry-crowd at this point as well.

In fact, even folks on the economic advice team probably have some worries going on....as well as the state banking 'bosses'. Oligarch folks in general?  Well....yeah, they should worry at this point.

So if you got a call one night....as the number twelve 'boss' within the FSB.....that you were clear of any charges, and were being appointed number one 'boss' of the FSB....should you be happy?  No.  Your worries will double overnight, and you might be assessing the idea of escaping Russia as well.

I would call this a collapse of sorts....the inner circle is dissolving and there's no real safety barrier existing anymore.  Putin has become Stalin, in a matter of days.
