Coronavirus and Germany: 7 March 2020

1.  The Robert Koch Institute is reporting a total of 639 cases of Germans with the infection.  Still zero deaths.  The German state with the most cases?  NRW (northwest Germany)....329.

2.  Some data (from N-TV report) suggests that 80-percent of infected folks only end up with a mild case of the virus.  In this case, no hospitalization is required.

3.  The original case of fourteen employees of a Bavarian car parts supplier with the virus (from five weeks ago)?  N-TV reports they are all well and recovered at this point.

4.  Why the zero death account so far?  No one has detailed a reasonable explanation.  Maybe good health practices before the virus was caught....maybe luck....maybe a lesser number of society who smoke....maybe less polluted air.  It is a mystery element of the bigger story.
