ARD told the brief story this morning, and it was kinda interesting.
The international soccer association.....FIFA....has decided to hype up an investigation involving the right-wing groups German soccer fans. In particular...looking at what occurred with the recent match in Czech.
ARD also reports that the Central Information Center Sporteinsätze (ZIS)....the folks under the Federal cops (BKA)....also started an investigation.
So the question is....are there that many Nazi-enthusiasts around and planning out events with soccer? Or is this fake news? Or is it possibly some agenda deal with hired thugs acting as Nazis?
Fake Nazis? Yes, like the fake Nazis that you've seen at US events....hired as pretender-thugs or actors.
Soccer games are public events which draw TV viewers and journalists. It wouldn't take that much to convince people of some fake event unfolding and Nazis in the middle of it.....getting the political folks hyped up to react, but no one seems able to ID the groups or suggest where they came from. Are these even German Nazis? It is conceivable that they could be Swiss, Austrian, or even British Nazis....or pretender-Nazis.
For FIFA? This could lead to events where no fans are allowed in and teams play before an empty stadium. Go imagine that scenario.
Am I skeptical over this story? Yes.
