A Future Script For Disaster

It's not a page one type story, and I doubt if it gets told much by anyone in Germany....but a suspect terrorist gal was 'let-go' by the French today.  After seventeen months of holding her in pre-trial jail....they stood up to admit that what evidence they had...was awful weak, and she'd likely win in court.  It's rare that something this serious goes on for over a year, and the case collapses.

The story is basically told ARD (public TV) this afternoon.

To tell the story?

This was a German woman....mid-30s....who was arrested in the fall of 2019.  She's hooked up (married to) with a Jihadist Tunisian guy who spent of his entire life growing up in Dortmund (far north of Germany)....who has a bit of a reputation.

For three years....he was on the scene in Syria and fighting for ISIS (up until 2016).

The French got into the husband's background because of planning on a French embassy (beyond the borders of Germany or France).

The wife apparently got into the planning stage of this effort....or at least the French say this.

Somewhere in the middle of this story....we kinda find out that this Tunisian guy is really husband number two, and that a husband number one (also a Muslim traditional marriage) figures into the background, and he actually did get himself into prison (sentenced in the past month for a minimum of eight years).

This first husband?  Well....there's a detail which ARD didn't put into the story and I fumbled around to find this odd deal.  This guy (the first husband, who is now in prison) is noted as Bohan S.....who happens to be a guy that sponsored or helped with Anis Amri.

The name Anis Amri?  Well....that's the Tunisian 'crazy-guy' who drove a tractor-trailer rig into a Berlin Christmas market....killing a dozen (2016).

So as you read the whole release of this gal from pre-trial holding....she's now free, and likely to return back to Germany (that's her home-country).

A concluding situation?  You just look at the assembled situation, and shake your head.  In a year or two....she'll come back into the focus of the police because some terror act, or some husband number three jihadist entering her life.
