1. Based on a N-TV early AM interview....the foreign policy person for the Green Party (Jürgen Trittin) in Germany says there are some marginal signs of declining tensions between the Ukraine and Russia.
He says there's some change in the Russia commentary....where a negotiated solution has to be found.
2. Talks taking place in Turkey between Russia and the Ukraine this AM.
3. Ukraine to get 13-billion dollars from the US? Yes.
4. Push in the EU to ban Russian lobbyists from their work atmosphere.
5. Weekend cold spell to approach Ukraine.....minus-10 C temperatures predicted in the north.
6. Russian accusations of nuclear-bio weapon development in the Ukraine? BS-factor? Probably near '7'. Course, there's all those Tom Clancy movies and the Kremlin crew probably watched everyone of those a minimum of five times.
7. Belarusian folks having crossed the border to fight the Russians? Well....there's a story out there, but I'd label the BS-factor around '5'. It might be ten guys....it might be a hundred.....it might even be a thousand.
8. The EU had (for several years) allowed 'golden passports' to be sold to non-EU folks. That regulation will be shut down shortly (affecting Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria). A fair number of well-to-do Russians had these.
