It's just one of those curious facts that anti-car and anti-capitalists miss in Germany....as of the end of 2018, 833k Germans work somewhere within the car or car-parts industry. One out of ten Germans? More or less.
So if the anti-capitalists were to make a dent in the car industry? Well....it's best not to put that scenario out there. Just to suggest that a slow-down might occur, and 40,000 might be put out of work? It creates a ripple effect and starts to worry political folks.
