The 5th day of court action occurred yesterday with this German Army officer who did the fake routine of playing migrant. I've essayed a several times over this guy (noted as the 'Franco-affair').
HR is covering this on a daily basis.
So somewhere in the bits of events yesterday (it's hard to figure why he admitted this)....'Franco' says that he actually had three weapons illegally in his possession at varying times (G3 rifle, Browning pistol, and a Landman-Preetz semi-automatic rifle).
Did the government know about the weapons? It does not appear that way.
What happen to the weapons? 'Franco' says he got rid of them.....leaving you to wonder if he buried them in the woods, or sold them to someone else.
Why anyone would go and admit this? That's the curious part to the story and you are left wondering about his intention. Most people wouldn't go and tell this in court....unless the prosecution already knew it.
As for the case on the impersonation of the refugee? It's going to be difficult for the state to win this part....without admitting they ran a low marginal program of identification.
The pistol accusation (left in the Vienna airport bathroom)? That's not difficult to prove, but it's an Austrian law violation situation. It should have been done in a Vienna courtroom.
