Observations

 1.  After two hours of reviewing this dam 'burst' in the Ukraine....from across Europe....I'd say it's a 90-percent chance that it was done intentionally by some Ukraine 'team' (maybe not the military).  The US 'theme'?  Well....if you try to watch CNN....they push the 'brand' that it was Putin at work.

2.  There is some EU chatter this AM....that they want to ban all new installation of oil/natural gas furnaces in homes/apartments.....by 2029.

The German draft plan presently?  It's crapped all over itself, and it does not appear that it'll pass 'as-is' before the summer break.

On the EU measure?  Elections are next year, and I suspect there are a dozen agendas that are endangering the current crew in continuing their 'brand'.

3.  Someone did a happiness index for city-life in Germany.  Happiest city?  Hamburg.  Frankfurt people came in second.

I'd question the survey....Frankfurt folks are usually the biggest whinners in Germany, and they will always cite twenty-odd things that are crapped-up in Frankfurt.

4.  Lot of hype going on by public TV in Germany....about getting a monthly fee increase.  Various states are saying they need reform and downsizing.  This will be a open topic for the next twelve months.
