1.. One of the key figures of the Green Party (Nouripour) is calling upon the CDU-CSU....to help support some of their agenda items.....selling the public on Green topics....to prevent the AfD from taking more public support.
Odds of this? Pretty much zero I think, but it shows how worried some folks are in Germany....that the AfD is building up more support.
2. Elversberg (Saarland) has moved up into the 2nd league for soccer. Odd factor.....the town is marginally 13,000 in population. They seem to have found a couple of decent local guys and shocked people in getting out of the 3rd league.
3. Some chatter today (from ARD) that conscription (draft) of some type may have to be 'forced'. Odds of this? I'd suggest more than fifty-percent of German kids are not in any shape to pass the physical. Will be curious how this develops.
