Security folks have examined the Christmas market area where the terror act took place last week. So they came to this final analysis.
Most all German cities with events like this....place concrete blocks (weighing several tons) at all entrances/exits....to prevent vehicles from entry, and they are spaced about 3 meters apart.....with a cable connecting the blocks. If you need an ambulance or fire-truck to enter....you 'unlock' the cable, and the vehicle enters.
In the case of Magdeburg.....the blocks were there (wide enough for a car to drive through), but no cable.
Reason? No given so far.
I should note this other odd part of the terror story.....BILD reported last night that the Saudi terrorist had not completed a medical degree.
If you do a timeline of his work-career...after he said he had a degree in 2020.....it was figured out that completion was not achieved.
