There's an association in Germany of towns and urbanized areas....which has openly discussed the idea now of throwing up a nightly curfew. This is all related to chatter about Covid-19, and the spiraling numbers.
No one says the time involved....at least not yet.
The fact that bars, clubs and restaurants are all closed right now? Toss in bowling alley operations, theaters, and just about every conceivable recreation situation....there is no place to really be, or hang out....after you get off work.
Are folks hanging out on the street? Yes. They will stop at some local grocery, gas station, or food-pick-up situation....pick up a beer or two, and stand there in the bitter cold chatting with friends or associates. It's a social 'release'. They need that period of an hour or two...with human contact.
What type of curfew might come out of this? I would imagine 10 PM. Police being pleased over curfew enforcers? Probably not.....but that's the only way you could really make this into a tough public situation.
